Eagle EDGE Academy of Sport
Sporting Chance Program
2007 - 2012
Providing innovative and high quality, sports focussed learning and development opportunities to develop leadership, enhance education and career opportunities, improve the health and wellbeing of learners including self-esteem and confidence, and promote and support positive learning experiences that foster success.
2012 Eagle EDGE Academy of Sport is launching a Reward Program for Students.
Year 11 & 12
The reward trip is open to all Year 11 & 12 students enrolled at the Cunnamulla State School. The trip will be held at the conclusion of Year 11 and 12 end of year exams.
Students have a chose between a trip to Fiji, Vanuatu, New Zealand or perhaps another dream
getaway destination.
The conditions of the reward program:

Reward program for students in Year 7 to 12.
This program will be conducted after school, and at the end of each week the students can select what reward they would like from the list.
Students gaining 95% school attendance and maintaining good behaviour to teachers and peers within the school, will be able to choose from the rewards.
1. Go Karting Friday afternoons.
2. Canoeing/Kayaking Warrego River
3. SCUBA Diving in the Cunnamulla Swimming Pool.
4. Shopping trip to Charleville
5. Voucher for lunch at the Canteen
6. Voucher for the swimming Pool
7. Saturday online computer games at PCYC.



The Sports Academy functions as a partnership between Eagle EDGE Solutions and the Cunnamulla State School. Eagle EDGE Solutions provieds administrative and specialist support through the employment of sports officers for the Academy.
Story Snapshot.

Student Story
Demi Lucus is a Year 12 Student at Cunnamulla High School in South West Queensland, she had been enrolled in the Eagle EDGE Academy of Sport for the past five years.
Demi is a natural within sport’s, 2009 she was selected to represent the region and with little time to train she made the State Finals for Long Jump.
She was also recognised for her efforts within her sporting field and community as Young Citizen of the year (2009) for the Australia Day Awards in Cunnamulla.
2010/2011 she took on a school base traineeship with Eagle Edge Academy of Sport, where she was working on her Cert III in Community Recreation. Within her role she worked with our Senior Sports Officer David Dillon in assisting in the delivery of the Academy programs in the school. As well as working with the Primary School and the Sacred Heart School in the delivery of sporting programs for the younger children, who look up to Demi. 2012 she is focusing on her Year 12 studies.

Team Building camp: One of the activities is White Water Canoeing.
Surf Life Saving Camp: Youth from Year 8 and up gained their Surf Life Saving Certificate, with 5 participants gaining their Bronze medallion .
